Questions
What kind of language is used in the text?
The language in here is of course English... Nah i'm kidding, the punctuation is good but some of the sentences don't make too much sense, especially speech wise.
What is this text about and how do you know?
In this story the interests are mainly butterflies and a girl. The girl goes to school and the grandparents say to listen to whatever the teacher says. Later she comes home when her grandfather is hoeing around their cabbages they grow and her grandparents ask if she brought her book she writes in home. She reads "I killed all the butterflies" but the teacher said they are beautiful creatures. The girl wrote that because the white butterflies eat her grandparents cabbages.
What does the author want us to know?
That not all butterflies are bad and eat plants.
How are the characters constructed in this text?
The granddaughter is the main character because the story evolves around her. the grandparents give us a hint that since they garden and kill white butterflies it gives the girl an idea of why butterflies are bad. The neighbour is just the neighbour, and the teacher shows the girl why not all butterflies are bad.
What types of social realities does this text portray?
I can relate this to my mum because she gardens and she find's the white butterflies pests but not all butterflies eat gardeners cabbage etc.
