Making a paper plane

Q. What are the forces acting on a paper plane?

There are 4 forces acting on a paper plane.

Thrust pushes the plane forward

Lift pushes the plane up.

Gravity (or Weight) pulls the plane down.

Drag pushes the plane backwards.

Challenge:  To find a paper plane that beats the rest of the class.

Aim: I want to find a paper plane design that can fly the furthest and beat the rest of my class.

How can you change the forces from above to make the airplane go further?

• Need to increase the thrust - to do this, i will throw harder.
• Reduced drag 
• Change air flow - add ailerons

1. Write up the experiment using the Scientific method
2. Record your findings on the chart
3. Take a photo of all your planes and upload them onto your blog
4. Graph the results in a bar graph.

1. I think I have achieved this by coming out of my shell and giving some good feedback by double checking over some the the parts of someones writing.
2. I think I have done well at asking some questions well more then what I would ask but I feel like I needed to come more out of my shell and ask some more. 

Term 3 Goals:

I want to know what my next steps are at learning. How I could do this is by doing my work and then working out of next steps and how I could make it better.

I think I should start to share my point of view and ideas with other people. I could do this by just saying my idea and talking to the person/group about what I think we could do.

Icier Is Nicier - DRAFT

Business & Enterprise: Icier Is Nicier

Planning:

Before we started getting in a group, we were talking about if we would be in the food, gift, beauty etc categories. In our group is Alesha, Summer, Kortney and Kayla. We then thought of ideas of what to do.Our group knew that we were going to do something to do with food. When we were in the food group we then got paper to plan what we are doing.After a lot thought we choose to do Snow cones,Ice creams and a game. We then thought of a name of the company and game that is (Icier Is Nicier) and (Penguin Pong). After that we thought of what we would need to do all of this.

Making poster and other things:

It was time to make the posters get all of the things and make the big poster to hang at the stand.We used colored paper to  make poster. We kept making our logo on paper.Then we went out to hang these posters on windows and around the school so everyone can see them. We then sorted our game prizes and how it’s going to work. There have been some ups and downs, but when it came to the end, we have sorted it all out.
