Today For Cyber Smart we learnt how to use thing link. Thing link is really cool to use like when you move your mouse over the picture it comes up with writing, that you can put in there. I love thing link!

Today is wacky hair day at school but first this is a photo of what I look like!

Metaphors Galore

Today for Writing we wrote with Metaphors. In the end I used 11 Metaphors! The ones that are blue are the metaphors!

Our task: Select 10 which inspire you and use them in an interesting sentence. The phrase needs to appear somewhere in your sentence.

EXTRA: Select 3 and try to use them in a descriptive paragraph.

Then, you could create your own if you are feeling brave!

Her long hair was a flowing golden river. Nobody couldn’t stop looking at it. With its golden flow. She feels that life is a fashion show. As she is walking past everyone at the fair.  She is a shining star. Spinning around up and down round and round on the amusing joy rides. As his words were cotton candy. Since she was so beautiful with her golden hair. Tom’s eyes were ice. He asked her out on a date. Jane’s eyes were fireflies!

After Four years Tom and Jane were married. As Jane walked in the room my kid’s room is a disaster area.  There is undies, dirty clothes and my life is a roller coaster. We moved to  a city and the children were flowers grown in concrete gardens. When my kid came home from school he said “ The computers at school were dinosaurs.”  And Also my teacher is a dragon!

For Maths we have this thing to help us work out hard times tables it is called the multiplier. It helps a lot!

Time Laps Of Prototyping

Yesterday at school for Inquiry we had to plan our design of what we were making. So what we had to think about was the 4 materials we had to use which are clay/salt dough, paper/cardboard, wool and plastic. I am making a sun catcher which will catch the sunshine. So since we had to plan our design we had to do the front, back, sides, top and bottom. It was really tricky for the top, bottom and sides. It was fun doing it because now it will make my design easier to make.

Math Questions

For Maths one of our actives were to answer 3 questions. Number 1 was 5x16=? so I went on the multiplier. I made the question into 30+50 Much easier. 30+50=80 so 5x16=80.
Number 2 is 4x18=? I spilt it into 16+16+40=72 so 4x18=72
Last one was 4x13=? I split it into 12+40=52 so 4x13=52

High Flyers

Today for maths we had to do this activities work sheet called High Flyers. First it said The Seats On An Aeroplane Are Set Out Like This:

But there was also a question it was How many seats are on the aeroplane? Thats easy 10x2 is 20 so 20 seats.

Lastly it said: 3. Which plan do you think is the best? Why? I wrote :My best Plan is prototype.1 because it is a bit bigger and fatter. So it can fit lots of people on it and so they dont be squished like prototype.2. What do you think?

Lost In The City

A Couple of weeks ago our story for my reading group was called Lost In The City. This story was really easy to do the actives. In really pound of myself for this slide show. Hope you like it!

Patchworkz

Today for hotspots I played Patchworkz. Patchworkz is like Glassez 2 but in a patch version. Patchworkz is a bit different to Glassez 2 because of coarse it is patches but you make pictures.

For hotspots this week I went on the before school slide and was just clicking around the links, and found this game called glassez 2. Glassez 2 is a game where you have to finish the pattern and put the shapes in the right place. But if you put the shapein the trash you lose points. But the goal is the finish it. Glassez 2 is a really fun game!!!!
