Today we ran through the whole play for the first time. It was a lot of fun but a little confusing when there were a lot of people on stage at the same time. What we need to fix is coming on and off the stage more smoothly and getting on stage quicker. Also we need to be more quiet when people are talking on the stage. Apart from that this really helped me because I got to run through my character "Babyface" part for the first time today, and honestly it is so cool. I can't wait for next week when we get real pies and are all dressed up. I have a great feeling that Busgy Malone will be a success! Hope we catch you there!
Hello, my name is Alesha and I'm 13 years old and I go to Hornby High School. I don't mind blogging and I am learning a lot in Cybersmart. My class (8TS) and 8Bh are doing Cybersmart together and are going to do the Summer Learning Journey together. The teachers have shown us how the journey can help kids with there learning, including improvement over the summer holidays. I think the winner wins a chromebook because they did all that blogging on their chromebook, that they should win a chromebook.... also for learning purposes. What I would do with the $50 if I won would be probably Clothes, Food (Shout ya mates), Maybe even donate it to charity! I'm sure I would have more ideas but I hope the journey will go well!
For the custard pie scene, I think we should have everyone come on stage and start fighting but have some key scenes to make the audience laugh. I think we shouldn't have it too crowded on stage but to have everyone on at the same time. Maybe people could slip over, pick some pie off the floor and put it in someone else face. This scene would be the most funniest, and messiest scene that I'm so excited for. I can't wait, so that's the check in for now!
As you may know if you have been keeping up with my Bugsy Malone posts, I am going to do a Karate Routine for my fake audition for the musical. What I have planned to do is a carter (routine), followed with sticks and maybe some extra moves. I'm still deciding but I'm so excited for this Musical it's going to be so much fun! So that's my mini check in for my routine and I promise to keep everyone updated. See you later!
For Cybersmart today we joined the Summer Learning Programme. As always our lovely teacher who teaches another year 8 class (she teaches us Cybersmart) Miss Birtch gave us a task to do about a country which was listed on the TV screen. As soon as I saw Canada I was so happy because Canada is my favourite county, anyways below is my work for answering the questions about the capital of Canada (Ottawa). Hope You Enjoy :)
Yesterday was such an amazing day! It was the start of Passion Projects which you can choose what you want to do for the rest of the year. I chose Musical Theatre because I love being on stage, since I want to become a actress when I'm older. I am going to audition for the two characters Fat Sam who is the main character I want to get or if I don't get him I am going to try for Leroy the boxer. The reason why I want Fat Sam from Bugsy Malone is because the character reminds me of someone from a film and because I can connect with the character. The reason why my second choice is Leroy is because he is a boxer and I do karate so I have experience. I can't wait for auditions but I'm super nervous, wish me luck!
So, today 8TS and 8BH were having another Cybersmart lesson in the Learning Commons who was taken by the wonderful teach Miss Birtch. We were working on how to get better results for our google searches so we can get what information we needed. The reason why we were learning about this is so we can get better at searching things on the internet for what we wanted/needed it for. It will especially come in handy when we are at high school and need to research something for our credits that we need. It will help us with our blogging so we can share information with viewers and so we can narrow down what information we want to put on our blog.
I'm Interested In doing my own task in Drama because I would express myself how I want too with my friends. I will learn about the process of how people make movies / dances. I will create this by using everyone's ideas and not leaving anyone out. When the final product is done I will share this by recording it and posting it on my blog and sharing it to my teacher. This is going to be a fun term!
Plan To Success;
The plan is simple Kasey who is a great dancer in our group is going to choreograph a dance with our other friend Lorelei. Kalim who doesn't like being in front of the camera much is going to be the one recording everything that is happening. I'm going to be playing In My Blood by Shawn Mendes on the piano for the dancers to dance too. Last we are sure to be doing a little bit of acting for a wrap up of the dance and to explain it well. I feel like this is going to go well, I'm hoping for around a five minute video so people don't get bored. This is going to be a lot of fun!
Question: If you stacked $20 bills until you reached $1 million, would the stack be higher than the rim of a basketball hoop?
Answer: I'm sure that it wouldn't reach the rim of a hoop because from the rim of a basketball hoop to the ground is 10 meters. Where if you had 50,000 Twenty Dollar notes and stacked it beneath a hoop it would only reach 2.15 Inches. So the answer to the question is No, it wouldn't.
Through out the world there are many different acts / performances. They can be funny, sad, happy or even scary. Performances take a while to prepare for and get everything right and all ready to go, so you have to put a lot of hard work into it.
~Examples Of Performances~
•ONE•
»CONCERT« Artist through out the world, go on tour from different country, to country. They play a lot of songs for the audience and even have a lot of nice or even cool lights that spread all across the arena. They reason why a concert is a performance is because there is a singer/s and an audience.
(Shawn Mendes Performing)
•TWO•
»MOVIE«
Movies are a popular one because you have to film it but the cool thing is that they get turned into plays, like Harry Potter. Harry Potter is one of my favourite movie series, and it's cool because it's a whole adventure! Anyways it is a performance because you show it to an audience.
(Draco Malfoy, Harry Potter)
•THREE•
»DANCE«
Dancing is an act as well. You can express your emotions to the audience and do some pretty cool moves.

For two weeks my class has been taking music, and we have been learning how to play the keyboard.
On the keyboard me and partner Kasey learnt how to play ' Castle On The Hill ' By Ed Sheeran.
I enjoyed learning new skills and to just be able to use a keyboard again.
What I found challenging is really nothing, but probably not messing up the notes.
~ Guitar
Guitar was hard but not that hard, because I had already played it before. Expect I have to admit that the Piano was way easier to learn, because it was labelled and you didn't really have to physically do stuff like you would do with the Guitar.
I think what this kid did was a good idea. He wanted to show kids someone cared, especially if some kids were depressed.

My Questions
-Who made blogger?
: The term "weblog" was coined by Jorn Barger on 17 December 1997. The short form, "blog," was coined by Peter Merholz, who jokingly broke the word weblog into the phrase we blog in the sidebar of his blog Peterme.com in April or May 1999.
