So today someone from Wait Bait media (Kerry) he came in to teach us some tips and tricks for editing a video. I came in half way so this may be a little short, anyways what I heard and picked up when counting from 5-1 you lip sync 2-1 and press record. Also that you should leave the camera still rolling after 2 seconds so you have extra just in case you want to add some effects in or cut the video.
He also spoke about keeping eye contact with the lenses of the to connect with the viewer watching. Another thing he suggested was that don't ask closed questions, ask open questions. This means that a closed question is a yes or no answer and an open question explains to you much more than just "yes" or "no". The reason why is because you as the reporter can make connections and that the viewer gets the best answer and information they can get.

Hey Alesha,
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing what you got out of the session with Kerry. It is interesting to see that you all picked up different information from what he has told you. Did you remember his tips when you were filming the Student Summit?
