1. What is the definition of forensic science?
 -Relating to or denoting the application of scientific methods and techniques to the investigation of crime.

Write a sentence to describe what each job involves.

1.Police
The police use forensics for taking fingerprints. 

2 .Forensic Science Technician. 
They Often call crime scene technicians or crime scene investigators, forensic science technicians conduct most of their work either on scene or in a laboratory. 

3.A Bloodstain Pattern Analyst. 
They analyse patterns in blood to help glean important clues about various crimes.

                                                   4. Forensic Documents Examiner

They use their expertise to identify forgeries of contracts, checks, bank statements and other documents and electronic records. 

5.Forensic DNA Analyst.
 DNA contains the genetic coding that makes us, well, us, it is believed to be able to give an as-close-to-perfect identification as possible, far more accurate even than fingerprinting.

6.Digital Forensic Experts And Forensic Computer Investigators.
As they use computers and digital devices more and more, criminals are also leaving more clues and electronic fingerprints.

5.Finger Prints
Different kinds: There are four main categories that finger prints come under.


What type is yours?

Take your own finger prints using a pencil, paper and sellotape.
Write up a scientific experiment using the scientific method under the 4 headings.

Aim: The Find out what finger print is yours.
Method: 1. Get a piece of paper
2. Get a pencil
3. Make sure you have sticky tape.
4. Colour some of the paper in with pencil.
5. Put you thumb or any finger on the part of the coloured in paper.
6. Get a piece of sticky tape and put it on your thumb/finger and make sure its on properly.
7. Take the sticky tape of and pull it off and put it on the paper.
8. Then you can see what fingerprint yours is.
Results: You would be able to see the fingerprint on the sticky tape
Discussion: The lead from the pencil goes on your thumb and then shows up on the sticky tape.
